On October 31st, the 2nd Mathematics Festival of the School of Mathematics and Computer was held in the Central Axis Square with the theme of accurate mathematics and great wisdom.
At first, Zeng Yuhua delivered the opening speech and pointed out that the school pays high attention to the construction of the second classroom and focus on the talent training. Therefore, the school set up platforms the Education Festival and the Mathematics Festival for learning, communication and exhibition to help students enhance their specialty literacy in mathematics and overall qualities. These two events provided an opportunity for students to participate in some related disciplines and professional skills contest at university, provincial and national level, in which they have got lots of achievements. In regard this, he wanted all the students can actively participate in the Mathematics Festival to grasp the opportunity, hone their skills and be the first.
Later, Zhao Huayundeclared the Festival open. After that, the final ofthe secret of cubestarted. The finalists were ready to fight and face to the challenge of opponents.The final divided into three stages including ten to six,semi-final and three in champion hunt. Finally, Zhang Binying won the first place with a time of 31.44 seconds. Tian Yi and Chen Wenqiang reached second and third and Xu Conggang, Xiao Qian and Liu Xingyu followed.
It is said that this Festival consists of the college mathematics competition, interesting mathematics competition, the secret of cube, the speed of sodoku and forum of mathematics.
