He Shaoji

He Shaoji (1799-1873), whose courtesy name was Zizhen and literary name was Dongzhou, he used another literary name Yuansou in his old age. He was born in Daozhou (which is called Daoxian nowadays), Hunan. He was a poet and calligrapher in Qing Dynasty. In the middle of 19th century, he served in Chengnan academy and as principal and lecturer.[see page 277 of Cihai (1999 compact edition) for more details]
