HNFNU welcomed the New Year with a vibrant gala on the evening of December 30 at the Tianhan Theater. University leaders and over a thousand faculty and students attended the event, which was followed by a New Year’s dance party for young faculty.
The gala was structured around three themes: “Roots: Passing the Torch”, “Endeavor: Blossoming Youth”, and “Setting Sail: Embarking on a New Journey”. Performances included a lion and drum dance, instrumental and vocal pieces, dance, and poetry readings, showcasing the university’s rich heritage and the dynamic spirit of its community.
Highlights included an energetic dance, a heartfelt choir performance, and a stirring recitation exploring the essence of being a teacher. The evening concluded with the song “The Power of Revival”, expressing collective hope for the future.
Following the gala, a New Year’s dance party for young faculty was held at the university’s new gymnasium. University Council Chair Luo Chengyi addressed the attendees, acknowledging their contributions and emphasizing the university’s commitment to supporting young faculty. He stated, “A strong university depends on its young faculty.” The event featured dance performances, interactive games, and a lively atmosphere, fostering community spirit.
