First Chinese Character Writing Contest Held in HFNU

On the evening of November 6^th,the final of the first Chinese Character Writing Contest of the School of Literature and Journalism was held at the science building. Dean She Xiangjun, vice dean Long Yonggan, and teachers and students are present. Two teachers of the Department of Linguistics Mao Li and Zhou Yuan serve as judges.

The final competition has four rounds: Individual Pursuit, Challenge Promotion, Second Runner-up and Championship Competition. In the first part，the calm and logical expression of competitors win the applause from audiences. Wrestling competition system of the second round made the game into the white-hot stage. And then at the third round, runner-up competition was to show the astonishing reserves on Chinese Character of players .The students also benefit from the explanation and remarks from judges.

Finally, Wang Dandan wins the championship and the Best Popularity Award. Jiang Chunxia is the runner up, Xiang Shengshu is the third place holder, Kang Xiaoming, Sun Yue, and Yan Xiaofen win the excellent award. In the amateur group, Sun Yan, from the School of Mathematics and Computational Sciences wins the championship. Yan Qiaoyu is the runner up. A teacher Zhou Yuan concludes that the competition aims to carry forward the national spirits, guiding students to write well, so as to create an academic atmosphere at the campus.

The competition inspires teachers and students to inherit the essence of Chinese cultures, and to enjoy the beauty of the Chinese characters, and to learn the wisdom from ancient times to cultivate their minds.
