Teachers and Students of College of Music and Dancing Worked with Hunan Performance Group in Overseas Performances

From September 8th to 16th, Splendid China and Charming Hunan, The European Performance Tour was performed in Finland’s capital Helsinki, Austria’s capital Vienna and Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The performances were warmly received by the local overseas Chinese, therefore promoted the overseas dissemination of Hunan culture and showed the spirit and professionalism of our university.

The performance was the first cooperation between Hunan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Hunan Performance Group. It was performed jointly by Hunan First Normal University, Hunan Song and Dance Theatre, Hunan Acrobatic Art Theatre, and Hunan Drum Opera Protection and Inheritance Center. Since the show was the fist product of Hunan First Normal University and Hunan Performance group, College of Music and Dancing of our university attached great importance to the show. Teachers Wang Wan and Miao Xiaojun worked together with students Zuo Wanting, He Ting, Wang Xiao, Wang Jiwei, etc. They performed the opening dance, Dai dance Shao Duoli, pas de deux Peony Pavilion, song dance Cheers for our motherland. They showed a musical performance, combining acrobatics, folk music, dance, drama with partners. Performance received rounds of applauses. Performers won the admiration and affirmation of Chinese, overseas Chinese and local European audiences by their exquisite artistic quality and earnest attitude. It made positive and profound impacts.

College of Music and Dancing will continue to deepen cooperation with Hunan Performance group, promote cultural and performing arts exchanges, increase cooperation to inspire people, improve the quality of talent cultivation and enhance the brand effect of our university.
