After the registration day, orientations were held to help the freshmen know the school, majors and their prospect, laying the foundation for college study and life.
In the orientation of Education Sciences School, Tong Xiaojiao the president of HNFNU, briefed the students of splendid history and culture of Hunan First Normal University and encouraged the freshmen to make strides in the coming four years.
Heads of Literature and Journalism School introduced the development of the Network and New Media and hoped the freshmen to have both humanity and science minds, they also suggested that students should mix the theory and experiment in studying.
Teachers of School of Mathematics and Computer Sciences encouraged the students to focus on the essence of Hunan culture, inheriting school spirit, have ambitions and create a wonderful life. They prepared nine lectures including the planning science of college students, psychological health of college students and so on.
The leaders of the Foreign Language school gave a lecture about their majors’ feature and prospect, emphasized the importance of the occupational planning. They hoped students can change their mind to integrate the college and plan their development direction to make a solid foundation of the career.
The School of Information and Engineering introduced the spirits of Hunan First Normal University and the true essence of school and encouraged freshmen to be perfect youth, developing free study research and achieving the unit of knowledge and practice.
The School of Music and Dance guided freshmen in planning their study life and introducing the administration system of school so that the freshmen would preliminarily know the contents and requirements of major.
After the orientations, freshmen will be ready for their first class--the Military training. We believe that they can make full use of college time and compose a new chapter of life in the Hunan First Normal University.
