From September 10th to 11th, the 4067 freshmen came to check in Hunan First Normal University. Regardless of the autumn rain, all the workers in the greeting team carried on their work to greet freshmen with high enthusiasm. Visiting greeting stops in and outside school, school leaders checked the greeting work, encouraged workers and solved problems for freshmen. School leaders condoled teachers and students volunteering to help freshmen at the greeting stops in Changsha railway station, western bus station and southern bus station. They asked their plans for fresh students in details and hoped everyone could do well in reception services. On Dongfanghong campus, President Tong Xiaojiao, along with heads of the departments, visited greeting stops of all the colleges and departments, places for tuitions paid, military training clothing and household items distribution and the green channel working site as well.
Along the way, President Tong communicated with students and their family, answered questions on freshmen’s study and life. She asked staff members to work with delicacy for students, make convenience for them, care about them and treat them with heartily service to let their parents at ease. She told the green channel workers to carry out their work with care, so that each freshman with economic difficulty could begin their college lives free from worries. At the Sports College’s reception room, President Tong noticed a “Dream Wall”, which was for the freshmen to leave their expectations and longings for the future. She spoke highly of the creative idea, “We should thumb up for the idea, which makes the freshmen start their new lives with dream and hope, allow them join in this big family as soon as possible and grow up in our school. Through four years of study, they will become the elites of the times and the backbones of the society. On Chengnan campus, school leaders carefully checked the work plan to ensure it proceed orderly and smoothly. In the work for greeting freshmen, staff members tried their best to cooperate in harmony.
Now all the freshmen have checked in smoothly, and the greeting work for freshmen of 2016 ended successfully. College life is an important turning point for students, we believe that the students of Grade 2016 in HNFNU can have a wonderful college life and realize their dreams.
