From September 4th to 12th，School of Education Sciences host "2016 National Training Session" -- a short-term training program for science teachers of rural primary schools of Hunan province. 70 science teachers working full-time and part-time in elementary schools took part in this training.
During this training, Zeng Xiaoling and Huang Zhaoxia, heads of School of Further Education, made a speech on curriculum, and Professor Zhang Pingke the chief expert designed a series of targeted courses.The school invited many famous experts and teachers and devised four modules: General Culture Training, Professional Accomplishment, Teaching Skills, and Leading Ability. It adhered to training ideas "theory—skill—ability--development" and managed to promote science teachers to a more professional level.
In the process , training team has adopted many interesting methods to get knowledge cultivated. Students were shown to the famous elementary school--Lushan International Elementary School and learned a lot. They were also led to Hunan Science and Technology Museum and understood the role of museum in scientific education by playing games. Then, they visited Yuelu mountain and botanic gardens of our school where the students learned about common plants and plant classification in Hunan province. In a class on science development and education , an in-depth seminar was held. These teaching scenarios greatly motivated the students, offered them some inspirations and developed their teaching skills.
