Tan Yankai

Tan Yankai (1880-1930), whose courtesy name was Zu'an, had the literary name Weisan. He was born in Chaling, Hunan. From the summer of 1905 to the winter of 1906,Tan Yankai was the principal of the Hunan Normal School, which was then calledsupervisor. [see page 495 ofCihai(1999 compact edition) for more details.]
